Option 1 — From inside the app (fastest)
- Open Beer Buddy on your iPhone.
- Tap the Profile tab (rightmost in the bottom bar).
- Tap the gear icon in the top-right to open Settings.
- Scroll to the Legal section.
- Tap Delete Account.
- Confirm. Your account, drinks, photos, posts, and friend connections are removed within 30 days. The action cannot be undone.
Option 2 — By email
Send a message to support@deltametricsai.com from the email or phone-linked address on your Beer Buddy account. Include the phrase "Delete my account" in the subject line. We'll verify it's you and process the deletion within 30 days. We'll email you when it's done.
What we delete
- Your user profile and login credentials.
- Every drink you ever logged, including photos and metadata.
- Your posts, comments, captions, and messages.
- Your friend connections, blocks, and follow relationships.
- Your subscription state in our records (note: this does not cancel the Apple subscription — see below).
What we keep, briefly
For up to 90 days, copies of your data may remain in encrypted backups, after which those backups are purged. We may retain a minimal record (your account ID and the deletion timestamp) to prevent abuse and to comply with legal obligations. Anonymized, aggregate analytics (e.g., total drinks logged in a given month) may be retained indefinitely.
Cancel your subscription separately
Deleting your Beer Buddy account does not automatically cancel your Apple subscription. To stop being billed, you must cancel through Apple:
- On your iPhone, open Settings.
- Tap your name at the top.
- Tap Subscriptions.
- Tap Beer Buddy.
- Tap Cancel Subscription. You'll keep access until the end of the current billing period.

Before deleting, you can request an export. Email support@deltametricsai.com with the subject "Data export" and we'll send you a JSON archive of your drinks and profile within 30 days.
